How's Riley doing?

First ever video post... unedited... straight off my video cam...

Would you like more video posts? Or was one quite enough?

I much prefer reading. It's more private. Take care. My husband going through the same stuff.

I much prefer the written posts. More private. Don't want people around me to listen. My husband's about the same. Take care.

Gabriele -- I won't do every post as video. I love writing and would miss it terribly if I stopped. I won't be able to transcribe every video, but I'll try to and see how it goes. Hopefully, that way you will not miss out.

Linda,

I enjoyed seeing and hearing you speak. You'ge been a very important part of my life for 1 1/2 years and it's wonderful to be able to experience your insights in this medium ( I look forward to scheduling a front porch chat with you). Thanks for all you do.

I like both the written blogs and the video very much Linda. I think charging for your time is necessary and more than fair. I agree with you that real progress in successfully treating alcoholism is probably only going to come with pressure from their families, and most of us are so depleted financially and physically by the end of our own battles that it has been hard to initiate change. Your blog, and Addy's, After the Fire, and the others that are starting to come up can pave the way for great progress, but if your own needs aren't met financially and physically (rest, time to work, etc.) you won't be able to continue the great work with the TV show, etc.

Linda, I ran across your blog a couple of weeks ago. I read every one of your posts. I can relate to many things you talk about. It has also been educational for me as caretaker for my husband. I really enjoyed your video and would like to see you do more! Many thanks!

I found your blog a while back and have enjoyed it very much. My father is exactly like Riley. Your blog has helped me understand where my mother is coming from and helped me to not get so angry and her continuing to live her life with him. I enjoy both your written and video blogs. I am glad you are able to share your knowledge with others so we know that we aren't alone!
